Why should you make a disclosure?

Anyone can make a disclosure about how the Church operates and how its personnel conduct themselves. Only by raising grievances can the Church address its problems. To make a complaint, you can take it up with local Church representative or contact the Professional Standards Office.

Should I make a disclosure?

If you are concerned about how the Church operates and how its personnel conduct themselves, then you should make a disclosure.

Before making a disclosure, try talking with your local Church representative —this is often the quickest and easiest way to address your concerns or fix a problem.

If you’re not satisfied with the response, or feel uncomfortable talking with the Church representative directly, you may want to contact the Church Authority who holds responsibility for the representative or contact us.

Disclosures are important

If you’re like most people, you probably don’t like to complain. You may not know what you can complain about, how to make a disclosure, or might not think it will make a difference. It can be even more difficult if you’re upset or busy.

Disclosures are very important, as they can identify areas for improvement, stop the same problems happening again and help to make the Church better for all Queenslanders.
